Premium high street giant Mango has just announced that the face of their Spring/Summer 2015 campaign will be world famous French sportsman Zinedine Zidane.
Taken in Madrid, the campaign Boo George, the acclaimed photographer, and Maria Martinez, responsible for the hair and makeup, as part of the team captures the former World Cup Winner in his country of residence.
When asked about his collaboration with the brand, he said: “I have lived in Spain for a long time, so I know MANGO well. When they asked me to be the face of the collection I accepted because I love the idea of people being able to wear quality fashion at very competitive prices.”
Zidane replaces Dutch model Marck Vanderloo, and when asked about the brand itself, he said: “MANGO is a great prêt-à-porter brand. It is great to be able to dress elegantly at an affordable price, especially for men. People may say they often associate me with luxury brands or wearing Italian suits, but this is not incompatible, quite the opposite, I love variety”.
As for the clothes themselves, he seems to be a fan. The outfits he is photographed wearing are “cool” and “good quality”.
In fact, he went so far as to say “During the shoot, I liked some of the garments so much that you are bound to see me wearing them soon. My priority when wearing clothes is for them to look good and be elegant: I like feeling good in my clothes”.
The offering for SS15 is very much in keeping with what we can expect to be popular trends for the warmer months. Khaki, floral prints, cropped trousers and a range of bomber and biker jackets make up a large part of the collection, while some tailoring in shades of grey and Klein blue in particular lend an air of sophistication to the collection.
The MANGO Man Blacksmith line offers some more rugged pieces for those of you who are more adventurous – highlights include the trucker jackets, army-style parkas and textured sweaters. Who says you have to go to Mountain Warehouse to get quality outdoor gear?
