Marine apparel brand Gill, introduces a new standard for lightweight waterproofs with the Verso Lite jacket, an innovative design suitable for streetwear and outdoor activities.

GILL Heritage

With five decades of innovation in outdoor apparel, Gill has blossomed into an established brand, recognised as a staple to all explorers on shore or out at sea. Gill possesses rich heritage within the sailing space, making their mark on history in the 1980s by kitting out sailing legends such as Lionheart, the UK’s first team to enter sailing’s prestigious Americas Cup in fifteen years.

In a mere ten years, Gill made their first appearance at the Olympics in 1996 in Atlanta. The team worked to develop “Speedskin”, a sailing suit specifically designed for milder conditions. This product transformed the traditional neoprene wetsuit and was widely used in the milder sailing condition.

Four years later, Gill received another opportunity to take part in the Olympics, becoming the appointed technical clothing supplier to Team GBR, the British Olympic Sailing Team for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

The Verso lite

A street-approved unisex jacket comes with adjustable cuffs and hem and an oversized stash space via a zipper cargo front complemented by side entry hand pockets.

Created with Gill’s exclusive XPLORE® (2 layers of fully waterproof and breathable fabric), the jacket becomes a new essential that can be packed into its own pocket, ready to slide into everyday rotation whenever needed.

Stay dry out at sea or on your commute to work with a grown-on hood with slick 2-way adjustment and a shock cord, retaining a smart but comfortable look, including an all-weather appropriate AquaGuard zip.

Embody a streetwear spirit with technical excellence in black or bluejay.
If the English weather is enough, it’s our turn to remind you to check out the Gills drip-proof lifestyle choice, the Verso Lite jacket, available now at gb.gillmarine.com.
