London Collections: Men will see the unveiling of the Spring Summer 2015 Turnball and Asser collection which has become an exploration of British style and a celebration of the English eccentricity within fashion. Turnball and Asser’s new Head of Design and Product Development, Dean Gomilsek-Cole has also said that the collection will look at the continued play and relationship between that of the formal and informal dressing.

The collection contains formal shirting which is a continuation of the use of bold colours and using them with white backgrounds to amplify the contrast. One of Turnball and Asser’s top traits is the use of strips which has a strong presence in the collection. Merging classic Bengal stripes and horizontal ones, the look finishes with a modern touch.

With trousers there is tradition and, of course, innovation. The ‘khakee’ fabrics are used with a mix of patterns – including textured soft cottons and lightweight wool – to bring together the tailoring. The trousers come to their completion with, as they put it, the “endless mix of opportunities”.

Finally, when it comes to ties, it’s a more eclectic mix. Reimagining previous textiles, Turnball and Asser have attributed their signature eccentric nature and come up with a new, wider, ‘Skipper’ tie. This tie will, they say, compliment the current selection of slim and classic widths. The tie that they call elaborate is the silk tie that is utilising the classic smoking jackets and opulent gowns.

There is a definite combination of the elegant and eccentric nature with the upcoming collection. Turnball and Asser continue to attribute their signature to old ideas and their ever developing new ones. 2014 is a big step into their year ahead and to mark the big step they have unveiled their new Global Headquarters in London. So look out gents, you may be seeing them about!
