People complain about autumn and winter with very good reason. The weather goes grey, the time changes so days seem shorter and the weather gets unbearably cold. However, as we at MFM try to see the silver lining in all things – the autumn and winter catalogues are usually quite dashing. People just dress better during winter due to all the clothes layering, the colours and there is just a lot more style and cut.

Created by Thom Whiddet and Luke Sweeney, the brand is all about bespoke tailoring, as the owners were trained by some of the best British cutters and tailors from a very young age. Sweeney also mixes the classic with the new, a dynamic cocktail blending a deep knowledge of tailoring and flair. It provides their pieces with a sense of individuality, luxury, style and elegance without looking dull and dated.

Starting with a more casual look, this double breasted two-show-six button deconstructed blazer is made of pure wool and will, sure to keep you warm. It uses Barberis fabric weave, whilst the trousers are made of cotton flat brushed cotton. The button down pure cotton shirt also adds style to the look with a nice thick knitted wool and linen tie. The grey and black is a foolproof combination that reminds us of the upcoming winter and snow whilst definitely looking classic. Tweed – it’s one of those items that just yell classic. This three-piece single breasted two button deconstred suit comes in Barberis Donegal tweed.

The button down shirt is pure cotton Oxford as is the pure wool knitted tie. Overcoats are definitely one of my favourite winter garments and this one is quite classic. A single-breasted three button roped shoulder over using Loro Piana cashmere fabric. Something you could also wear for a night out at the theatre for a more casual look wearing different trousers and shoes. There is plenty of looks to mix and match from the new Sweeney look book and if you like these ones, then you should check out the rest of them on the website.
