Novak Djokovic may have slipped to Number 2 in the world, but Seiko is still Number 1 for most people when it comes to watches. Classic inspiration. Modern expression. That’s what Seiko is all about.

Classicism meets modernity with creative technology and timeless style. What’s great about this brand is the inspiration drawn from the world of architecture to create watches which embrace elegance shaped by success.

So put on the kettle, sit back, and take a look at some of our favourite watches from this Seiko this season.

Discover Seiko

The company was founded in 1881 but the company, today, is known for its forward-thinking designs featuring watches, clocks and optical products. The first watches produced under the Seiko brand appeared in 1924 and was motivated to be entirely powered but its movement in everyday wear. In 1985, Orient and Seiko established a joint factory and, you could say, the rest is history.

Premier Collection

Seiko has developed a number of ranges including Astron and Prospex. But for now: the Premier Collection.

It showcases a number of styles in an array of finishes. The SKP395P1 model (fancy, eh?) has a deployment clasp with push button and sapphire glass face. We know what you’re thinking, it’s all very James Bond/Inspector Gadget. But you don’t have to be a secret agent to style one of these great watches.

Other models in the range feature a date box, alongside metal and leather straps, depending on what you like to ‘strap on’.

Our favourite, not to go all ‘Sophie’s Choice’ during the festive season (but this one’s a no-brainer), is the SNP094P1 model; that’s the one on the right for those who are new to Seiko.

The glory of this watch is not in its style, which is exquisite we might add(!), but in its functions. The model is kinetic-powered by your body movement and has a perpetual calendar which is accurate until 2100 (let’s hope Donald Trump isn’t still in power by then!)

What’s more, the watch features a leap year indicator and is finished in sapphire crystal and is water resistant up to 100m, for all of you budding David Attenborough’s out there!

How To Style Your Seiko

But what do you wear it with?

Dress it up or dress it down, the beauty of this Premier collection from Seiko is the watch looks great with both casual and formal attire.

The subtle detailing on the watch face makes it perfect for a black tie event or for a quick trip to a coffee shop wearing dark denim jeans, a button down shirt and sneakers.

This versatile watch leaves everything down to your imagination so will you dress it up or dress it down?
