Douglas Booth is a relatively new addition to the world of film and he is already having an impact not only here in the UK but across the pond in America too. Born and bred in London in 1992, Douglas Booth is quintessentially British with an already popular public persona and thus becoming a style icon in his own right. Even though his film career is still relatively young, his experience and roles are extensive which indicates that he is a talent to keep an eye on. As well as creating a name for himself as an actor, Douglas also has quite an impressive modelling career. He has appeared in several campaigns for the iconic British fashion brand Burberry; and he has also appeared in campaigns opposite British rising actresses and models such as Emma Watson, Lily Donaldson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. In the coming months it looks like his career is going to take off even further with him starring in four films that all come out this year, including a new adaption of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet in which he plays the role of Romeo opposite newcomer Hailee Steinfeld’s Juliet.
The Douglas Booth Style
His sense of style may seem a little rough around the edges but that adds to the charm of his casual yet elegant way of dressing. Douglas has the ability to look effortlessly cool whether sporting a three piece suit or a blazer combined with jeans and a t-shirt. It’s this enviable skill in self styling that he is able to exude a charismatic approach to dressing that some men twice his age still struggle to achieve. Despite his involvement with the fashion industry, he has shown that it is possible for a model to evoke their own personal style without losing sight of what suits them and their personality. A model/actor that can dress themselves without the assistance of a luxury brand is rare indeed and it proves that Douglas’ talents aren’t just limited to the big screen. As we always say here at Men’s Fashion Magazine, it is so important to remain as true as possible to your own sense of style, and know what works for your own body. It is this idea that allows Douglas to transform his looks depending on the occasion he attends, whether it is a fashion or sporting event he is able to be consistent and at the same time youthful and refreshing.
There is never anything wrong with keeping it simple, clean and well groomed. You cannot dispute the fact that Douglas knows how to make a white tee classic and sophisticated. Here are a few suggestions on pieces that will allow you to translate this look into your own style.
