At Men’s Fashion Magazine we have always been big supporters of brands that do things differently from the mainstream. So we were really impressed with the images that we saw of the latest collection from Albam.
The theory at the heart of the brand is the feeling that you get from wearing your favourite piece of clothing. Most of the time, these clothes are nothing special (unlikely to be a tuxedo for example) but they have a sense of warmth and comfort that can’t be replaced.
Albam seek to create these pieces – the designs are understated and the focus is on great fit, fabric and finish which have been developed closely with the experienced factories that bring the clothes to life. Over the last few years, the brand has gone from strength to strength with stores now in Islington, Soho and Spitalfields, as well as an online store.
To launch the Spring/Summer 2015 collection, the brand have chosen to once again work with long time collaborator John Spinks. For those unaware of the name, Spinks has created some of the strongest images of recent years – shooting Prince Charles at Dumfries House and campaigns for brands like Richard James and Levis.
The unique images that have been created have been inspired by scientific photography and combining the structural elements of an object with the way in which it has been created. The images really show off just how great the clothes are – simple, strong and wearable menswear pieces that are not defined by their season or moving fashions.
Highlights of the collection are new pieces like soft merino knits and the English crafted parka which you will want to wear all year round. Find out more at Albam Clothing.
