In the few short years that Serge DeNimes have been going, they have gained a strong reputation for print and design led pieces that are some of the best streetwear available. The latest collection for spring/ summer 2015 delivers yet again.
The Serge DeNimes story could not be discussed without mention of its founder, Oliver Proudlock. Recognisable from “Made In Chelsea”, the star combined his passions for art and fashion to create a brand that celebrated both.
Each season the brand tries to bring an artistic flair to the collection. For spring 2015 the brand does not do anything that it is too far removed from what we have come to expect from them. Serge have stayed true to their ethos to provide premium urban pieces that combine artistic prints and cool fabrics with contemporary fits and shapes.
Without a doubt, the “contemporary fit” means long line and oversized. The brand is well known for its classic logo T-shirts and for this season they have been given a minimalistic update with three main themes – geometric shapes, floral print and a premium symbol motif.
Having had a look at the whole collection, we have picked out the coordinated black and orange jersey sweatshirt and shorts and the nylon leaf print windbreaker. We also love the chambray cut and sew panel sweatshirt and dropped hem monochrome T shirt. The details in the range are also unique – pieces have been updated with embroidery detail over logos, and branded panels for a clean finish.
