Red Wing Heritage reintroduces another legacy style, the 8-inch Logger Boot in Rich Briar and Black Oil Slick leathers, as part of its 120th anniversary celebrations.

The Logger, first released in 1940, exemplifies the rugged determination that has always been central to Red Wing. With its 90-degree heel and 8-inch lace-up design, this boot, originally built for the logging industry, has earned its place in the hearts of hardworking people everywhere. is a symbol of uncompromised traction, durability, and style.
Logger boots, with their distinctive raised heels and rugged leather, were first developed in the Pacific Northwest to give timber workers better traction on slippery logs and stability on uneven terrain. In the late 1930s, Red Wing started with its own version, creating pull-on engineer boots that offered workers the protection and durability needed for demanding jobs. Over time, Red Wing expanded its footwear line and added the “now called” Loggers to the collection, to serve industries such as logging and mining, always prioritizing both durability and comfort.

Loggers are built for hard work and adventure. They are made to keep up with everything you have planned—and they’ll make sure you look good doing it.
