Released at a runway store in Omotesando, Tokyo, the Puma Select Fall/Winter collection was met with great responses. The release was, to put it lightly, an event, with them showing off their collaborative sneakers from people like MIHARAYSUHIRO and McQ.
With the collection high in collaboration – each of the designs adding their own specific taste within – there was also the experimentation of updating old designs. Puma did this with their R968 and a pullover hoodie designed by artist Sophie Chang who resides in New York.
Visually, the collection fitted together with the use of trim cuts, colours and Puma’s sport-inspired streetwear. The colours, that boomed within the show-off, consisted of greys, blues and reds, keeping everything understated but equally explosive.
Puma never do things the same way that’s why this collection is one of collaboration and updating. Here, the voices are a mixture, the designs advanced and excitement towards the project paramount. The collection will hit Puma’s stockists in the near future. Stay tuned!
