Fashion powerhouse Oliver Spencer has launched a new showcase store to celebrate their collaboration with furniture brand Another Country. The store is located on Calvert Avenue in Shoreditch, what the brand calls ‘quite possibly the most beautiful street in London’s East End’.
The new store may be Oliver Spencer’s fourth, yet is the first of its type, marking the beginning of a relationship between two like-minded British brands. Both of whom are dedicated to creating cutting edge works of art and exciting designs, which is reflected in the new store.
The partnership is inspired by classic, quintessential British style: we can see this is the delicately crafted oak shelves and the elegantly finished, long oak tables. Oliver Spencer’s attention to detail comes to the forefront with a burnt wood finish which is able to further enhance the colour of the blonde Oak wood.
According to Store Manager Joshua Bird, ‘the new Shoreditch store showcases the progression of the brand that Oliver has been working on for the past decade. This is a contemporary store for a contemporary collection.’
Oliver Spencer founded his eponymous label in 2002 and has since established himself as a key player on the international menswear stage, showcasing two collections a year as part of ‘London Collections: Men’. The brand is renowned for its daring style and fresh approach to fashion.
Another Country is a furniture company that prides itself on its sustainability and eye-catching designs. Inspired by the classical forms of British Country kitchen style, Shaker, traditional Scandinavian and Japanese woodwork, the company claims to ‘endeavour to re-interpret the spirit and functionality of these honest forms of furniture for a modern customer’.
All the furniture and fittings have been made in England, using the most innovative techniques. The result is a store which represents its clothing perfectly: it is both modern and innovative while also remaining classically British. With the brutality of winter set in full force, we’ll all want to escape to the stylish warmth of Oliver Spencer’s new store.
