For several years now, Want Les Essentiels de la Vie have impressed us with their luxury, premium accessories and we have fondly been carrying their lovely bags of all shapes and sizes for some time. So, we were obviously very excited when we found out that the brand has just launched their debut men’s shoe line.
Designers Byron and Dexter Peart developed the brand out of a desire to create premium, quality leather goods, with a focus on catering for the everyday – these pieces house the essential professional and personal products that we use in our day to day lives.
Always functional, the stylish products have developed a strong following for the way that they mix uptown and downtown styles, inspired by mid century architecture and design. The new shoe range represents great new growth for the brand.
Modern and masculine, Dexter Peart says, “Much like our inspiration for designing bags, we wanted to engineer footwear that provides a perfect blend of form, function and value.”
The Montoro is a classic derby silhouette with subtle updates. These include a bias cut and signature gold and silver finishes which has become something of a hallmark for the brand. Crafted from a supple, yet durable premium Italian leather and high performance sole construction for a great fit.
The Lennon is an altogether sportier shoe. The sneaker style is a versatile shape but streamlined style. Superior comfort can be expected due to the cushioned insole, breathable leather lining and customer rubber cup sole.
Byron Peart says of the two new designs, “We travel every week and were challenged to build on our collection of essential pieces that easily travel with us. We started with two styles that were favourites of ours and look forward to launching sandals next season.”
