The ‘Les’ Boot is constructed from premium Portuguese Boanil Brush leather and is part of the brand’s ‘Made in England’ collection. An update on the Monkey Boot style, they feature a raw edge finish as well as the trademark Bouncing Soles that have come to define Dr. Martens.
Available in both black and merlot (dark red/purple for those of us not familiar with interior-decorator lingo) the style is instantly recognisable as being one of the Dr. Martens family.
Oki-Ni worked in direct collaboration with Dr. Martens to bring this style into production after a successful partnership to create the hair-on style of boots from last year. Now this new venture sets to benefit both companies through a mutual beneficial relationship where the very popular styles of Dr. Martens have a new source to be purchased from.
Also stocked on Oki-Ni are several similar variations of the ‘Les’ boot, which include a shoe form in black as well as the merlot colour and a tall boot, the ‘Arthur’, in tan. These are all classic styles that are versatile and easy to style thanks to their minimal detailing, aside from the obligatory Dr. Martens trademarks.
In production since 1901, Dr. Martens have always been recognisable by their stacked rubber soles, yellow stitching and hardwearing leather. Now that heritage and some of their iconic styling has come to Oki-Ni and has created what is sure to be some good news for fans of the brand, who now have another avenue to buy their favourite styles.
