Cristiano Ronaldo has stepped into the world of fashion with a bang last week when he launched his own underwear line to rival David Beckham’s. He unveiled his new underwear range, CR7, by pulling the covers off a 19m-tall image of himself posing in the briefs. Standing proudly at 1.86m, the world’s highest paid footballer barely grazed the portrait’s upper thigh.

Ronaldo follows in the footsteps of retired competitor David Beckham who unveiled his second autumn range for Swedish retailer H&M this summer. However, Ronaldo’s line seems to be a bit more luxurious down to the fabric used, the higher price point and the fact that he is launching them independently whereas Beckham launched his range through well known high street brand H&M.
