Any brand that dedicates a retail space for men only deserves our respect. It’s for that reason that we, at MFM, are so thrilled about the new pop up store from Clarks.
The brand has been making footwear since 1825 but in the last twelve months has seen the collections go from strength to strength. Strong sales, fashion forward footwear and continued respect in the industry have led to the first stand-alone men’s store. Located at 55 Neal Street, in the heart of Seven Dials, Covent Garden the store is a unique space that shows the brand’s craftsmanship and simple, contemporary designs.
The pop up space will house the label’s Autumn/Winter collection which features a range of great formal and casual styles. Some of the highlights include the Gatley Walk with its clean lines and super masculine aesthetic, as well as the Darby Limit which combines heritage styles with a modern twist.
As well as this, its rich brown leather and vibrant green soles with the hint of Scandinavia continue to be a big fashion influencer for the season with the Monmart Walk which has a soft chestnut shine, giving it a modern take on a traditional style.
As a brand that has a history that goes back to 1825, the designers have been able to dip into the archives to create new shoes with a retro feel. For example, a traditional and classic lace up design in rich, burnished leathers is given a twenty first century makeover with colour pop details.
It is great to see a retailer like Clarks take the proverbial bull by the horns and give the menswear market the attention that it has deserved for years now. The Clarks men’s pop up store runs from 23rd October – 16th November so head to 55 Neal Street, Seven Dials, Covent Garden to take a look for yourself.
