Is there any better way to get over winter blues than to look ahead to next season and the host of new pieces that you will be able to wear? We, here at MFM, can’t think of anything better. With that in mind, take a look at the spring 2015 collection from Chester Barrie.

The collection is inspired by the Riviera lifestyle, with silhouettes referencing the sartorial 1930s, 60s and 70s. Colour is key with any spring collection and here it is in abundance with turquoise blue, light yellow and deep reds all making an appearance – just what you would expect from a playboy party on the Riviera.

Of course, tailoring is at the heart of what Chester Barrie do. The wedding suit is a prominent piece in the collection and checks feature on the business ready suits. With the help of consultant Edward Sexton, the classic Chester Barrie silhouette has been bought back to life – in a new, low buttoning double breasted model which offers a more relaxed take on a blazer.

A good blazer is always an investment piece and for spring, the Chester Barrie one comes in French navy or Campari red – both are perfect for summer. It’s not all slick tailoring though, in the more relaxed pieces, shawl collar jackets are worn with classically but washed shirts and tropical shirts, with an energetic print to offer a pop of colour.

Even though Christmas will be over when these pieces are on sale, you will still need spring party wear and the sports jacket in teal and blue make for a perfect choice. New for SS15 is the range of knitwear – cable knit jumpers for that all-important transitional time.
