At MFM we love all things new and inventive. Nudie jeans, or, as their logo goes, The Truth about Denim, are just that but with a classic touch.
Nudie jeans are all about having an appreciation for the fabric they’re made on. Jeans are easy, we slip them on and become comfortable with them, in a sense they become our second skin. With Nudie jeans, there’s also an understanding, mainly of how that fabric ages when worn. Of course, this could mean that you have to throw old jeans away but Nudie jeans, when aged, are all about refurbishing. You take the jeans to your nearest Nudie jeans store and there you will get free of charge repairs.
To some of us, the idea of this aging process is more an annoyance than welcomed. Nudie jeans, however, see this and believe that age in fashion is something to be valued and tweaked. Much like fashion in itself, with age it evolves but plays tribute to its origins. Clothes become vintage rather than old. Today, for example, we’ve played tribute to our past generations way of thinking – floral patterns to say the least.
What’s interesting to note about Nudie jeans is that their inspiration comes from, as they put it, far from the world of glamour and catwalks. There’s a raw sense to this company, a true passion for the jeans at hand. As they put it themselves: “We don’t just offer jeans. We offer a way of thinking, a concept, and an undying passion, fuelled by the traditions of denim and the characteristics of the fabric itself.”
Where To Buy
So where, you ask, can we buy said jeans? This would be at Urban Outfitters where not only are they reasonably priced, they have an interesting concept behind them. Go out, explore and appreciate, that’s what Nudie jeans is all about. And, for us lazy folk, click here.
