Billionaire Boys Club Takes Reebok’s Club C 85 to the Moon

Some sneaker collaborations are about reinventing a silhouette entirely. Others work by taking something instantly recognisable and introducing just enough personality to make it feel new. For its latest collaboration with Reebok, Billionaire Boys Club has opted for the latter, turning its attention to one of the sportswear brand’s most enduring sneakers: the Club C 85.

Billionaire Boys Club

The Billionaire Boys Club x Reebok Club C 85 marks the first time BBC has worked on the iconic silhouette, expanding a creative relationship between the two brands that stretches back more than two decades.

Founded by Pharrell Williams and NIGO®, Billionaire Boys Club has long maintained close ties with Reebok, most notably through the Icecream Board Flip. Following the recent return of that archival skate shoe, the partnership is now moving into new territory.

A Reebok Classic Reimagined

Originally introduced in 1985 as a performance tennis shoe, the Club C 85 has gone on to become one of Reebok’s most recognisable lifestyle silhouettes.

Its understated shape and clean construction have helped it survive decades of changing sneaker trends, making it a natural canvas for Billionaire Boys Club’s distinctive design language.

For this first interpretation, BBC has looked upwards, drawing inspiration from the lunar imagery that has been part of the label’s identity since its beginnings.

The sneaker arrives in a predominantly monochromatic grey colourway, creating an aesthetic designed to resemble the surface of the moon. An ostrich-textured upper adds depth and tactility to the otherwise muted design, while one of the biggest visual details appears beneath the foot.

A translucent ice outsole reveals imagery inspired by the lunar surface while retaining the Club C’s original tread pattern.

It’s a detail that manages to bring BBC’s space-inspired identity into the shoe without completely transforming the character of the original Club C.

Billionaire Boys Club Details

Look more closely and there are plenty of references to Billionaire Boys Club’s visual universe.

Chrome-finished debossing features across the sneaker alongside a debossed version of the brand’s recognisable Standing Astronaut. There’s also a Mantra woven tongue label, while the insole features a Flying B monogram moon graphic.

Tonal grey laces keep things understated, but a contrasting purple lace option is also included for those looking to introduce more colour.

Mubi Ali, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Reebok, describes the Club C 85 as representing a new chapter in the relationship between the two brands, allowing Billionaire Boys Club’s creative direction to move beyond the Icecream Board Flip and onto another established Reebok design.

For BBC, meanwhile, the opportunity was about taking a sneaker with genuine history and bringing it into the brand’s own universe.

“The Club C is a shoe that everyone in some shape or form remembers as a staple silhouette in sneaker history,” explains Brandyne Lackland, Creative Lead of Billionaire Boys Club.

The moon’s texture, mass and gravitational pull provided the central inspiration, continuing a space theme that has been embedded within Billionaire Boys Club since the brand’s earliest collections.

A New Chapter for the Partnership

What makes the collaboration interesting is that neither brand has tried to disguise what makes the Club C 85 successful.

The familiar low-profile shape remains, but BBC has introduced texture, graphics and subtle detailing that give the sneaker an identity of its own. The result sits somewhere between a classic court sneaker and a more conceptual collector’s release.

Billionaire Boys Club

For fans of Billionaire Boys Club, there are enough familiar references to make the collaboration immediately recognisable. For those who simply appreciate the Club C 85, it’s a considerably different interpretation of a silhouette more commonly associated with crisp white leather.

The Billionaire Boys Club x Reebok Club C 85 is priced at £120 and launches online exclusively through BBC Icecream on 18 September 2026.

A wider global release follows on 25 September at 3PM BST, when the sneaker will also become available through Reebok.

After more than two decades of collaboration, BBC and Reebok clearly aren’t finished exploring their shared archives. This time, one of Reebok’s most familiar silhouettes is heading somewhere entirely new.
