The brand sees the opening of this new store as a key development in their 163-year history. Mark Taylor, the Chief Operating Officer states: “The opening of the store on Brompton Road marks the third new store in London in the past year, following the successful opening of our Great Marlborough Street and Jermyn Street store.”

There are not many brands that have three outlets so closely located through the capital, so this can be seen as a bold move to maximise the Aquascutum retail presence. There is also much to be said for the new location – Aquascutum will be part of the Knightsbridge estate and will add to the iconic mix of high-end brands that already call that space home

The store will incorporate a new, unique design concept, which will reflect the British style and aesthetic of the menswear and womenswear collections. With Harrods and Harvey Nichols both around the corner, Brompton Road is becoming quite the luxury retail destination.

The store needs to be able to reflect that luxury feel. Andrew Martin of AMD Architecture states, “the new shop will inhabit the stripped out shell of an existing building. High quality, bespoke furniture and fixtures contrast with a raw all white exterior and elements of Aquascutum’s flagship store are echoed in the wall panelling and chandelier.”
