The vibrant and youthful men’s fashion brand Antony Morato have released their SS15 collection. The verdict? The collection is just as impressive as past seasons, and perfectly captures a carefree, casual look that is also stylish and well put together.

antony 1To promote the collection, the brand have also created a trio of videos as part of their SS15 advertising campaign. Each of the three videos focuses on a different Mediterranean city; Marseille, Lisbon, and Naples.

According to the brand, “the videos are well synchronized with a Spring/Summer collection which recalls Italianism, but at the same time is full of contradictions and rich in urges for journey and style”.

antony 2Once again, the collection is divided into three lines: Black, Gold, and Silver. These separate ranges sit in line with the three cities in the campaign videos. However, items from each of the ranges can be paired and contrasted, creating an array of different looks and styles.

The Black range, represented by Marseille, is perfect for the modern gentleman. The combination of distressed items and boots with formal tailoring and bowties creates a range that is as daring as it is sophisticated. The romantic, melancholy music used in the video further reinforces this image of a lost hero.

antony 3Inspired by both the past and present, the range combines printed designs with stonewashed tones to create an authentic feel. Furthermore, while all pieces in the range are tailor-made, some items have been mixed with athletic-type fabrics for that stylishly casual look.

The Gold range, represented by Lisbon, is a more casual and relaxed branch of the collection. Created on the ideal of venturing into the unknown on city breaks during the hot summer, the range uses hues of peaches, whites, and pale greys, ensuring that the clothing is light and easy to wear. As the video depicts, the range embodies a unique, classic charm.

antony 4However, the range is not limited to the vacation period: by incorporating a combination of patterns and styles such as Breton stripes, monochromatic prints, and classic denim, the clothing has been designed to be worn on a variety of different occasions. To add, the collection is certainly varied, ranging from shirts to topcoats and t-shirts to jeans.

Lastly, the Silver range, represented by Naples, perfectly completes the collection. In the video, a tattooed model stands on dry, dusty ground, while the electro music creates a daring vibe. He then states, “This is not the Naples I was expecting”. The range is certainly unexpected and exciting, and is aimed at the sporty, yet style-conscious man.

antony 5Graphic prints in undertones of blues and greys allow for the range to be suitable for both working out and casual outings. Formal jackets and shirts are visible in jersey fabrics, creating a range perfectly suited to the modern man.
