Room Style: Spacious, Modern & Masterfully Designed
We stayed in a large Almanac X room, where every detail whispered luxury. Clean lines, herringbone wooden flooring, soft-edge furnishings and bespoke design accents set the tone. The bed waited with crisp linens on a plush king mattress, perfect after a day roaming Prague’s streets.
The bathroom felt brand‑new: Light marble, rainfall shower, generous toiletries, and ambient lighting created a modern spa‑like sanctuary. It paired perfectly with the soft warmth of the room’s sleek chaise – honestly, one of our favourite bathrooms we’ve had.
Wellness & Breakfast: A Waking Ritual to Savor
One highlight was the sauna, accessed after a day exploring the Old Town. A quiet, warming ritual to unwind your senses, complemented by cold water and sauna towels. Ideal at sunset, it felt like a cultivated Czech reset.
Breakfast was served in the stately Alcron Restaurant: a lush buffet with freshly baked pastries, seasonal fruit, smoked salmon, and eggs cooked à la minute. Coffee was rich and strong.
Evening Rituals: Cocktails & Culinary Craftsmanship
Dinner and drinks take place in the Alcron Bar and connected restaurant, where the mood shifts from luminous lobby to intimate evening lounge. The bar’s art‑deco charm, brass fixtures, marble counter, velvet seating, invites relaxed sophistication. It’s one of Prague’s most stylish cocktail dens – each cocktail was creatively named, we opted for a ‘Blonde’ which was Tequila reposado, italicus, banana, cinnamon and soda – as well as an ‘Alcron’ made up of gin, apple, cucumber and lovage. To eat, we opted for a steak – it was outstanding.
