Vans, owning a high stack in the men’s footwear market see to be the perfect people to take on huge project for the huge franchise. Well, the photos of the collaboration are out and feature as a homage to the Star Wars franchise that any fan of the series will be happy with.
Within the collection, Vans have taken their usual fits – the Sk8-Hi, Half Era and Slip-On – and morphed them to suit the well renowned science-fiction classics. The redesigns are made with silhouettes such as Stormtrooper, Yoda and Darth Vader. What is interesting to note is that Vans have kept their classic, authentic feel and wound that around the task at hand.
To some, the concept of taking a series as beloved as Star Wars and not just in designs but in a collection that is a tribute to the films, could seem daunting.
