We love stumbling across new destinations to dine, and the launch of ROKA Mayfair caught our eye. Launching on Monday 17th February 2014, the creator and founder Rainer Becker has created a relaxed, yet elegant place to dine.

The location couldn’t be better, situated on North Audley Street in between Bond Street and Marble Arch. The restuarant will serve it’s unique style of contempory Japanese Robatayaki cuisine. Hamish Brown, Executive Chef of the Roka Group, has created an extensive but a well selected menu featuring signature dishes. These include the celebrated Lamb cutlets with Korean spices, alongside a more bespoke option such as the rice hot pot with lobster. Mouth watering.

The restaurant features a robata grill, which is almost the heart of the restaurant. A selection of sushi and sashimi will be available to compliment the food from the robata, plus a more extensive range of dishes from the main kitchen.

Not only is the quality of the food a main feature, the interior design of the new resturant will catch your eye. It showcases the collaboration between Rainer Becker and the well respected designer Noriyoshi Muramatsu. Featuring raw steel, hints of oxidised copper, reclaimed and natural wood along with casted concrete, it has a unique contemproy feel to it. Crimson compliment the design, along with the upholstered wall hand-painted and decorated in Japanese prints.

It can seat up to 80 guests in the main dining room, and the robata counter can seat 26, with another option to eat outside on the terrace seating 12.
