Colour and trends work intrinsically to present something new and exciting for us each coming season. It can be anybody’s guess about the next “in” colour palette for SS15 and what shades are predicted to be big. In this piece we explore a selection of colour trends inspired by the SS15 LCM’s shows and show you how to work these into your current wardrobe. (Yes 1 year early). Here at MFM we like to be ahead of the trends, and spot on when we try them out, let’s take a look at what SS15 has in-store for you.
Orange
Seen at Orlebar Brown’s swimwear collection, this happy shade of Amazonian orange is predicted to be an instant mood lifter for SS15. Bright and uncompromising, it provides the wearer with a healthy glow and an extension list of style options. Complimenting every colour on the spectrum, this shade is one to try next Spring.
Feel confident to wear this colour with denim, abstract print accessories and monochrome. Integrating this shade early with your current everyday essentials; will add a striking edge to even the most standard jeans and trainers’ combo.

Powdery Blues
Surprising to most, pastels and wishy-washy tones are on their way in next Spring. Powder blue is given a new masculine overhaul by unconventionally mixing it with prints, accents and good quality basics like the classic dark jean. Subtle and unpretentious, this colour is seemingly feminine but actually could work wonders for lightening up greys, black and navy.
When worn correctly (which is very easy to achieve) this colour will add a spot of interest to contrasting fabrics. You can balance out your proportions by selecting accessory that carries this shade.

Khaki
Funnily enough one of the most highly associated colours with autumn made a big summer debut at LCM’s. With a trend wave in flight and aviator jackets this year, this palette will be lingering in fashion for the next year providing us with more casual outerwear options.
With the utility clothing making a lasting impression on new trends, this shade is set to be one of the most transitional colours next Spring. Out of the three this is easily the most wearable and accessible to every guy looking for a wardrobe update. Wear it with bright accents, white and leather to give that urban explorer vibe.
