Orlebar Brown’s #SNAPSHORTS App Launches
Cult menswear brand Orlebar Brown has just launched their new app across both iPhone and Android platforms, encouraging their fans to design their own pair of swim shorts. Best known for their printed swimwear, Orlebar Brown are using the hashtag #SNAPSHORTS to bring together their loyal following and offering them the chance to win their own custom pair every month.
As the worlds of fashion and technology move ever closer, Orlebar Brown are following in the footsteps of other brandss like Givenchy, Topshop and Uniqlo in launching a dedicated mobile app for their following. Central to the brand’s appeal is their love of photography, and it is this love that the brand is encouraging their followers to embrace.
The app allows users to take their own photo or upload one from their photo album and use it to create a customized pair of swim shorts. Every month the team at Orlebar Brown will choose the best entry and work with their own design team to create the design for the winner, allowing them to own the bespoke, real life version of their design in any size made just for them.
To be in with a chance of winning, users must share their designs with the hashtag #SNAPSHORTS. Users are encouraged to be as creative as possible with their designs, and any photo can be used, from cityscapes to abstract cosmic prints. The more personal and creative one makes their entry, the more likely they are to actually be able to own their design and have a pair of swim shorts that are truly unique.
