Model Spotlight: Jarrod Scott
Jarrod Scott may spark some form of familiarity, if not in name then most definitely by face. Jarrod Scott just happens to be one of the most successful male models right now, hailing from Australia this handsome gent has made quite a name for himself appearing in campaigns for the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Jimmy Choo and even H&M.
As well as recently receiving the award for the GQ man of the year, he has also appeared in many magazines such as GQ Australia, Apollo Magazine, and caused controversy when he appeared in Vogue Homme International in a gorgeous black and white photo-spread only to shock readers as his last image was a double spread image of him completely and maybe artistically nude in a full frontal image.
Cementing his place as an internationally successful model means that he not only does print work, he has also walked the runways of many acclaimed designers including Givenchy, Maison Martin Margiela, Parke & Ronen and Philipp Plein. Clearly a force to be reckoned with, we look forward to hearing much more about him throughout 2014.
Want to know how he got into modeling? His success came in the form of a relationship breakup when he was traveling with his now ex-girlfriend. They broke up in China so he was on his own and didn’t have enough money to get back to Australia. He could only afford a flight as far as the Philippines, and that’s where he met the photographer who scouted him. So he literally had no choice but to model to make his way back home. The photographer even let him stay with him and got Jarrod an agent. He intended to quit as soon as he got back to Australia, but as you can guess he never really gave it up.
