Today marks the official opening of Karl Largerfeld’s new Regent Street store and we couldn’t be more excited. The design is quintessential Karl and it is clear he has had a heavy hand in the design that took approximately 6 months.
With a big focus on technology, the entire shopping experience is completely interactive and immersive so that people have the chance to interact with Karl virtually. You can sign a virtual guestbook which will be seen by Karl and he will retweet his favourite ones. Every single changing room has an iPad which will allow customers to snap pictures of their Karl Largerfeld outfits and upload them to instagram instantaneously.
In regards to the luxurious interior it is exactly as you would expect, monochrome to the max with a giant mural along the wall of Karl himself. Black and White furnishings are a plenty and chic gets chic with this wonderfully decorated store. As well as housing his womens and mens collections the store also offers up a number of other items for purchase. There is his British inspired range which consists of Karl white collars, fingerless gloves, Karl dolls, keyrings, baseball caps, wallets and even iPhone cases. For those of us who love fashion books (me!) there are a number of books for you to peruse and purchase include big and bold coffee table books as well as the latest book which is full of amusing and inspiring quotes from the man himself.
We suggest you get down to the store (near J Crew and Tommy Hilfiger) as soon as you can.
