The recently released lookbook to Filling Pieces’ AW14 collection has shown a variety of new footwear models and fabrics. From leather to cotton, marbleised rubber to camouflage, it’s safe to say Filling Pieces’ are going all out when it comes to this new round of designs.

The lookbook, shot my Laurens Eindhoven, shows off the different uses of the fabrics and patterns that could be classed as natural and understated. With every new collection there’s always a nod to the past and with the AW14, Filling Pieces have included the 1970s skateshoe-inspired Era Low shape, appearing throughout four models.

Filling Pieces experience is extensive and it was the collaboration with Liberty London that saw them use two of the department store’s floral and boat prints for their low-top designs. Filling Pieces does not stop there, they have worked with brands such as LNN-CC, Poste Shoes and Ronnie Fieg. Filling Pieces have always kept themselves under the radar and allowed their work to speak for itself.

Now, however, Filling Pieces, want to go bigger and have confirmed that they are increasing their production numbers with trainer lines so they can expand their sales. This is illuminated by the fact that the AW14 collection is already available at retailers such as Opumo, End Clothing and Harvey Nichols.
