We recently stumbled across a boutique watch company producing Swiss made, bold, masculine timepieces. SISU, a newcomer to the watch world, is taking fashion and timepieces to a new level.
They have designed that hard to find combination of quality, utility and style. SISU steers away from fussy dials and overplayed chronograph faces and instead focuses on a clean look that is elegant in its simplicity. Their collection has an industrial elegance about it that is ideal for the man who is confident enough to make a strong style statement.
SISU offers two basic styles: the Bravado and the Guardian, in twelve different configurations of Swiss automatic and quartz movements with rubber strap as well as metal bracelet options. The watch up for review here is the Bravado A2.
The Bravado collection is essentially SISU’s signature look with its 55mm case, 32mm wide sculpted bracelet and its unique dial design … in this case a silver sun ray background with black chrome indices. The Bravado A2 features a 3-hand Swiss-made ETA 2824-2 mechanical movement with date readings and automatic winding.
Finished with a beautiful anti-reflective sapphire crystal lens and encased in 55mm of 316L surgical grade stainless steel, this time piece is surprisingly comfortable given its size. The designers of this watch certainly considered the anatomical challenges of a big watch.
In short, SISU is a definitely a watchmaker that deserves your attention and we are eagerly looking forward to the launch of their new 2015 collection in September.
