It may only just be the start of the Summer season, but Antony Morato has released a preview of their collection for Autumn/Winter 2015-16. Paying homage to Italy and its cultural and artistic values, the collection is the definition of Italian fashion – dark luxe fabrics, sharp tailoring and classic cuts.
The three ranges, Black, Gold and Silver, divide the season into three distinct styles, suitable for the needs and style of every man.
The Black label is the polished rebel of Antony Morato. Modern, minimalist shapes are realized in glossy, shiny fabrics which lend a sense of luxury and decadence to the collection, but highlights of vivid colours like scarlet and emerald green add the rebellious edge.
The mixing of textures, from velvet to leather, is key to this range and helps create the confident, clean look with a definite attitude.
The Gold label is the more relaxed, casual side of the brand. 1960s Rome is the inspiration for this season, but a young playboy is the image – denim is heavily featured along with tailored suit jackets mixed with quilted outerwear in shades of blue, bordeaux as well as striped prints.
Leather bags accessorise the looks lending a relaxed, nonchalant feeling to the styles.
The Gold label is the sporty part of the collection. Quilted nylon sports jackets and sweatshirts blend luxury and practicality, and vibrant colours of orange and blue break from the muted palette of the rest of the collection. This range is much more universal and is designed to be incorporated into the wearer’s wardrobe and to be mixed with their own street style to create a dynamic look.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get your hands on this collection until it hits www.morato.it and other stores later this year, after the SS15 season has come and gone, but at least you can start planning your winter wardrobe already – we’ve probably already had whatever sunshine we’ll get this year anyway.
