The Harrington Jacket is a style staple which is extremely versatile to wear. It oozes masculinity and it’s the perfect piece for the unreliable British climate. Made famous by Style Icons such as Steve McQueen and James Dean, the Harrington is now getting the attention it deserves.

In todays feature we show you 5 ways to wear the Harrington, teaming up with Pretty Green.

The Jacket

So the jacket you choose is key and you want to opt for something classic. We went for this Burgundy Kingsway Harrington from Pretty Green which has a fresh contemporary cut and because it’s lightweight it’s perfect for layering.

In look 1 we decided to make the Harrington the key element to the outfit, and added some detailing through the under layer. The look is dressed up slightly with some Black Tailored Trousers and paired with some Suede Black Desert Boots. Perfect for a night out, or for an occasion which requires a slightly smarter dress code.

Look 2

This is a personal favourite, and in this look we’ve layered the Harrington underneath the Black Achres 4 Pocket Jacket. Underneath the Harrington we’ve added some Paisley detailing through the Polo Shirt and the Stone Cotton Chinos complements the Burgundy. Ideal for colder days and evenings and of course you can lose the top layer and still rock the Harrington.

Look 3

We’ve gone back to using the Harrington as the top layer in this look and added a touch of print through the Shirt. Classic Denim Jeans and some Leather Chelsea Boots top off a real classic look.

Look 4

Slightly different and a clever use of layering shows how versatile the Harrington can really be. We’ve teamed the jacket with a Black Zip Front Shirt, and classic Brown t-shirt and some Brown Cords. Feeling brave? We’ve brought the look to life with some Pony-hair Desert Boots.jackets 5

Look 5

This time we’ve switched up the Harrington and gone for the Paisley print. This makes the look a bit more exciting so we’ve keep it neutral with the hooded Black Coat, the off white Polo Shirt and again some Black Tailored Trousers. Lose the top layer and you’ve still got a look perfect for any occasion.
